Okay, so, I’ve decided to publish more web comics for now. I do want to make things to sell, and that will be separate, but I really like having a weekly deadline. It keeps me motivated to create, keep my feet to the fire so to speak.
Having said that, I still feel like I need direction, a mentor, or someone who can advise me on how to make my comics better. They’re decent, and I know that if I do enough of them, if I work on my art and writing, eventually they will improve. However, I have to keep publishing them, keep updating, and all that. Meanwhile, I have plenty of stand alone stories to tell in other mediums, for money.
Thanks for reading, and hope I didn’t spook you with the previous post.
Hey guys. I’ve decided that after the Muffin and Sisters arc, I’ll be taking a break from webcomics. Now, I won’t stop making comics, but I won’t be publishing them for free on this website. The website will stay up, I don’t intend on changing that. I may add little things here or there.
I currently have four scripts I’m working on. I recently did a page of pencils only to realize I’ll have to redo it. I want to sell pdf’s of my comics online and print on demand, especially for conventions and such. I hope you have enjoyed reading my comics as much as I’ve enjoyed making them. I may occasionally post strips and such here, but.. I’m working on things, and working on new ways to present them.
Thank you for your support. You can keep up with me on twitter or my blog.
Thanks for reading.
Something is up with makaimart.com . I’m not sure what’s wrong. I’ve changed the site address to makaimart.wordpress.com, but am hoping to fix it. Will keep you updated.
Hey, so we’re updating again. Got a bit of a buffer. It’ll be back to making one a week, and maybe if I have extra time I can do a more detailed, realistic comic. Still, I know that by doing this regularly I will get better at it. The more scripts I write, the more I paint, the more fiction, the more comics I make, I will improve.
I hope you enjoy my comic! After I finish this issue, I will probably upload a pdf of it. Unfortunately, I’ve never really done that before to my satisfaction. I need Adobe Indesign, and it’s more than I can afford right now. So I’ll need to try a third party one or else go back to ye olde Microsoft Word.
Hey, I’m still working on Muffin and Her Sisters (name to be announced) comic. Been playing around with some watercolor painting (physical). I might look up tutorials on how to make the comic look like a watercolor painting. I would definitely experiment with it and only use it on one issue. The other webcomic is coming a lot slower. I’m having to use a lot of reference pictures (stock photos), and I haven’t been as faithful working on that one. I think I’m still working on page 1 (although it’s almost finished). I miss posting here once a week, but think that my comic will be better understood if it’s posted per issue. Hope you understand. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to email me through the contact page.
Okay, so I’ve made it where I’m not publishing every week. The only problem with that is without a deadline I haven’t produced as much work. Maybe I can go back to trying to do a page a week, and maybe even post them here, but I want to consolidate the issues in the end and then publish them somewhere else. Most of my comics tend to leave a lot of story hooks. I’ve followed some of them.
It’s sad. I posted almost once a week for three years, and now find that I can’t do that anymore. I think I should go back to the way it was. Publish them here, and then compile them. I’ve got all of the ones from last year’s compiled, but I haven’t really done anything with them. I’m not good at converting them. I’ve almost thought about hiring someone to do it, make them look more professional.
In addition, I have one comic that may be difficult to finish. It’s in a more realistic style, and is taking a lot of work. I may have to put that one on the back burner? Or something? I don’t think I can do a page of it a week, although I might could show my progress or something? It’s nice to know I can do more than a doodle world kind of style, but it’s definitely stretching my talent and ability. That is, however, probably a good thing.
Been trying to learn more about anatomy, trying to learn blender. I want to learn guitar more, too, so I have a lot of things to work on besides ATC’s, Tot, and making miniatures via 3d printing.
Just wanted to let you know what was up.
If you’re having trouble reading the comic, go back a few pages. The comic is a serial comic rather than episodic (for the most part). Hope that helps.
Okay, so I haven’t posted page by page in a while. The reason is that a lot of people don’t understand a single page. They have to be read a few pages at a time to make sense. So, with that in mind, I’ll be releasing comics as I finish each issue. I think this will work better for everyone. Thanks for reading!
Hey guys, it’s Trem. I just finished Everlasting Muffin 1, and now I’m working on a new comic: Fun with Familiars, named after the tabletop module of the same name. It’s the same premise, but the story is completely different, not just adapted.
I get a lot of complaints that my comics don’t make sense when you read them. I encourage you to read them from the beginning of each arc instead of just one page of them. That way they will be more cohesive. To this end I have decided to update when each comic is finished, rather than uploading them one page at a time.
I’m not sure my talent level is at the point where I can pull of this current story, but I’m going to try. I’m still drawing and writing, so I’m hoping that if nothing else I can attempt it again in a couple of years. Thanks for keeping up with me and reading my comics!
I’m working on improving the quality of the comic pages. This may mean that I may not be able to produce them as quickly. I’m also taking a break from Everlasting Muffin, and working on a new comic set in Othello but with new characters. I hope you enjoy it, but I’m not sure if I’ll put it up here or as a pdf on my site. Guess I should try to have something each week for you here, even if it’s just a sketch or something.
Thanks for reading, and sorry for the hiatus!
Okay, so when I stopped drawing my comic, I was taking care of M. in her injury. I really didn’t have the time or drive to make comics. I was afraid I wouldn’t make anymore or that it would be a long time.
Well, I can still make comics! Praise Jesus and His Spirit who allows me to create!
I’m grateful for your readership as well. I’ll be moving to complete pages for most comics, except for panels in terms of gag/short strips. Doing a whole page helps, although I’m still learning how to lay out the panels. I wish there was a class or some kind of youtube video. Anyway, I’m babbling so.. Thanks for reading my comic! Come back next week. The comic will probably update next Friday, as I already did two this week!
